The Marcus Wallenberg Prize is presented every year by the King of Sweden to scientist(s) from around the world in order to recognize, encourage and stimulate his/her pathbreaking scientific achievements which contribute significantly to broadening knowledge and to technical development within the fields of importance to forestry and forest industries. The prize can relate to subjects ranging from forest ecosystem conservation and management through process, products and service developments. The selection will recognize excellent science or technological development alone, or a combination of the two. See for this year: http://mwp.org/. Nominations can be send in all year round (application form). The selection committee usually meets in April and in October.
